[Giveaway!] Small Ways To Create More Zen In Your Life

Give Away

We could all use a little more zen in our crazy, hectic lives – and in honor of today’s ZEN CUP GIVEAWAY (!!!) we’re featuring a few great tips to help you create more zen in your life!

Make Your Bed – Small, easy tasks help bring a sense of accomplishment and even peace. Something as simple as making your bed every morning can help your room as a whole feel calmer and may even help ground you throughout of the day.

Practice Breathing – Breathing comes naturally to us, right? Yes, but we’re talking about different breathing exercises you can try throughout the day, such as simply lengthening your exhales. One super easy breathing exercise is to inhale to the count of four and exhale to the count of 6, 7, or 8. Lengthening your exhales may help calm the mind and relax the body.

Practice Mindfulness – Being mindful and present in the moment is a great way to add a little zen to your day. Need help figuring out how to be more mindful? Take a look at this post here.

Try Yoga or Meditation – There are a ton of varieties available for yoga and meditation. One form you could try is yin yoga (a slower paced yoga that has long holds) or Candle Gazing Meditation. Not your cup of tea? Maybe try Ashtanga, a more rigorous form of yoga. There is even a form of zen meditation you could try, a form of “seated meditation”.

Unplug For Bed – Turn off the TV, put the phone down, and step away from the computer at least an hour (if not more) before bed. Doing so may help your mind calm down from the craziness of your day. You may even want to consider keeping these electronics out of the bedroom altogether.

What tips do you have for creating more zen? Let us know in the comments below! And now… the moment we’ve all been waiting for… GIVEAWAY TIME!

Our Zen Cup Giveaway will run until November 24th – winner will be announced on November 25! International giveaway (where allowed) only open to 18+.
